LET'S TALK AIRSHOWS!Thanks for looking in. 2011 was a pretty good season for me, right up to the time my doctors discovered I had colon cancer in mid-July. My surgeon cut out a chunk of me (about a foot long) along with an egg-size tumor. 10 days later, she was horrified to hear that I was flying to Maryland to announce at NAS Patuxent River. A week and a half after that, I was at Reno. Yes, I was announcing the race the time of he accident.
We
started everything at Yuma, as usual, and wrapped at Reno. I
started chemotherapy the week after Reno, and I will keep it
up until, it looks like, March. I have a note on my nightstand
which reads: DYING IS NOT AN OPTION.
Here's my wife, LINDA, competing in last year's Ms. Senior Arizona Pageant. |
